Some views on the complicated issues of 'real life'

Sems to me the well known rant about 5ex being the hottest thing on Internet is getting older by the minute. Point in favor: 3 refferals to my article "My neck hurts" and just 1 to "No Dress Around". Note - none of this articles actually has much to do with hurting necks (except that mine did hurt) or dresses (except to say there is no dress around). But it can be expected that the people who were reffered to it were looking for a) something to soothe the pain in their neck and materials about absence of dresses (presumably on somedbodies body).

So, aches and pain vs 5ex = 3:1

And, looking at the developments around me, I can confirm that. In the last few Years the number of people in my family using Internet jumped from one (me) to everybody except the oldest - meaning people of various degrees of education and in various stages of life, up to 60 yrs old. And I think it is much more probable for each of them to be searching for something about neck pains than looking at the site with people without dresses. Although I may be mistaken. As is surely a mistake to make conclusions based on such a small sample of elements - 4 referrals and about 20 people. If You want to follow this line of reasoning, I will direct You to my article about egocentricity

With the rest of You, I can share my joy that something as great as Internet is becoming a common tool for everyone. This means that soon enough most of the people on the planet (or at least most of those who have access to technology and electricity, let's call them 'opinion formers') will not only 'be able', but will actually use the same tool to communicate and solve their needs. And when we're all on one medium, we as a race will be another step up in the evolution of civilization. How so? Simple - if one of the first steps was communication between two individuals (speaking), one of the later steps was preservation of knowledge (writing), Internet can be seen as communication between all individuals. Or maybe I'm just dreaming a summer night's dream.
